• Seller Information: If you become a seller, we collect your business name, business type, WhatsApp number, description, location (region, town, address), and expertise categories.
• Product Listings: Photos, titles, descriptions, prices, and categories of items you list for sale.
• Communications: Messages you send to us for support.

Information Collected Automatically

• Location Data: With your permission, we collect your GPS location to show nearby products. You can disable this in your device settings.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
• Usage Data: How you interact with the app, including pages viewed, searches performed, and features used.
• Log Data: IP address, access times, and app crash reports.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the MoBazar service
• Create and manage your account
• Display your products to potential buyers
• Show you relevant products based on your location and preferences
• Connect buyers with sellers via WhatsApp and phone
• Send you notifications about your account, listings, and inquiries
• Improve our app and develop new features
• Detect and prevent fraud and abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Information Sharing

We do NOT sell your personal information. We may share your information in these situations:

Public Information

Your seller profile (business name, location, products) is visible to all users. Your WhatsApp number is visible to users who view your listings.

Service Providers

We use third-party services to host our app and store data (Supabase). These providers only access your data to perform services for us.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect our rights.

Business Transfers

If MoBazar is acquired or merged, your information may be transferred to the new owner.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Supabase. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

5. Your Rights and Choices

• Access and Update: You can view and update your profile information in the app settings.
• Delete Your Account: You can delete your account through the app, which will remove your profile and listings. Some information may be retained for legal or legitimate business purposes.
• Location Data: You can enable or disable location access in your device settings. Disabling location will limit the “Near Me” feature.
• Notifications: You can manage notification preferences in the app settings.
• Opt Out: You can stop using MoBazar at any time by deleting the app.

6. Children's Privacy

MoBazar is open to users of all ages. If you are under 18, please use the app with parental consent. We do not knowingly collect sensitive information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child inappropriately, please contact us.

7. Third-Party Links

Our app may contain links to third-party websites or services (such as WhatsApp). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites. Please review their privacy policies.

8. International Users

MoBazar primarily serves Mauritius, but can be accessed from anywhere. By using the app, you consent to the transfer of your information to Mauritius and other countries where our service providers operate.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by other means. Continued use of MoBazar after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
